Past. I always say the first part of my Christian life was spent in dance ministry. I was so blessed and honored to be a part of a church who supported the arts ministries and gave me the freedom to lead, teach, dance, act, preach, worship, and minister at. For many years I was the founding director at our Christian dance school that was housed in our church. What fabulous years those were! Whether it was in the weekly dance ministry at Sunday services, teaching dance to worshippers of all ages, creating dance recitals that were more like a play, mentoring, touring, overseeing our yearly summer dance intensive with beautiful dancers from all over the U.S., or teaching God’s word, I absolutely loved that time in my life!
God moved my family and I to Washington state 11 years ago. I had a stirring in my spirit that God had a different season for my life and although I did continue to teach dance for a few years after moving, God was leading me to a different place. I completed my bachelors and masters degrees in Counseling Psychology. I am a licensed mental health counselor and the Clinical Director for a community mental health agency.
Future. In the final stages of my first book on healing and restoration from sexual abuse for our soul. More writing, speaking, counseling, teaching, ministry.
My life and loves. I married the love of my life, Rick. I have two amazing children who are grown and following their dreams and callings for their lives. I love to garden and spend most of my off time in the spring and summer working on my flower garden that is ever growing! I love to create through a variety of art forms, although I don’t claim to be good at it. I love my friends, family, and chocolate! Caramel and milk chocolate are one of my greatest pleasures in life!
I LOVE …. to minister to women, teach, counsel, speak, write, mentor, and am so honored that God has blessed me to be a part of the healing process in others! To me that is like running in a marathon and so rewarding! I feel the calling and purpose in my life to walk with others through the restoration time in their lives and believe that God has that for all. I truly believe and know that God has done amazing things in my life and that I am no different than anyone else. God has healed me, restored me, and raised me to be who and what He has created me to be and I see that for every other woman that God gives me the opportunity to minister to. God is the great Counselor and Physician and He truly can turn all things around for His glory! My story is proof of that.
